About

The purpose of the Math & Computer Science Club is to bring together students studying mathematics and computer science, to support their interests, to recognize their achievements, and to promote community spirit. The group provides Drury students with the opportunity to be a part of a community that promotes the development of skills in math and computer science and bring students with similar interests together.

Events

What kinds of events do we have?

Hackathons

Every year, we'll have our annual HackDU event as well as other hackathons! If you don't know what a hackathon is, it involves spending a weekend creating an app or something else with a team

Game Jams

Every year, the club participates in Global Game Jam, but we might do other game jams throughout the year as well. This is similar to the hackathon, but it's focused around game development

Programming and Math Competitions

MCSC organizes multiple programming competitions and math competitions throughout the year

Resume and Technical Workshops

Every year, we'll give a resume workshop in the fall as well as various technical workshops as they come up

Social Activities

Throughout the year, we'll organize multiple social events to let students take a break from studying and get to know other people in their department at the same time
